DONE DEAL: Man City Complete £10m Plus Player Swap Deal to Sign Fiorentina Youngster Matija Nastasic

Teenager Matija Nastasic has signed for Manchester City from Fiorentina for an undisclosed fee.

Serbian centre-back Nastasic was a revelation in Serie A last season, emerging as one of the brightest defensive prospects in the Italian top flight.

According to the BBC the deal will cost Roberto Mancini £10m and will see Montenegrin defender Stefan Savic moving in the opposite direction.

Matija Nastasic is a talented teenage Serbian international who impressed in his first season at Fiorentina last term and could be seen as a player who can boost the Man City defence this summer.

The 19 year old has already been capped at full international level and must surely be a marked improvement on the hap-hazard youngster Savic, who looked out of his depth when called upon by Mancini to prove himself.

Nastasic adapted well to life in Italy, forcing his way immediately into the Fiorentina first team, making 27 appearances in all competitions last term.
