Newcastle United Boss Alan Pardew Doesn’t Expect To Do Any More Transfer Business

Newcastle boss expects no late deals.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew does not expect to do any more business before the close of the transfer window on Friday night.

The Toon have been linked all summer with a move for Lille full-back Mathieu Debuchy, while the north east outfit missed out on former player Andy Carroll who joined West Ham from Liverpool.

Meanwhile, the Magpies midfielder duo Chieck Tiote and Yohan Cabaye have both been linked with dramatic late moves to Arsenal.

But a defiant Pardew told the BBC he was anticipating very little action on deadline day, both in and out of the club.

He said: “I am hoping business is done. We have kept our main players. I don’t think we will bring anyone in or anyone will go out. But you never know at this football club.”

Pardew said he had signed one first team regular, in midfielder Vernon Anita who joined form Ajax, and strengthened the squad with a number of fringe players.
