Three In, Six Out: Arsenal Transfer Window Activity Analysed

We take a closer look at comings and goings at the Emirates Stadium.

A closer look at the big name additions and departures from the North London club.

Carlos Vela: £4m to Real Sociedad

The young Mexican consistently failed to make an impact at Arsenal and was considered by most to be a player who embodied a style over substance approach to his game. However the attacker matured during a loan spell at Real Sociedad last term, netting regularly and proving a focal point for the La Liga side.

The marked improvement probably came too late to convince Arsene Wenger who already had his heart set on additions Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud.

Fans of the 23 year old could rightfully point to the fact that Vela was only handed just three Premier League starts during his six and a half years at the Emirates Stadium.
