QPR to Offload Four as Loftus Road Side Look to Balance the Books

West London side realise their squad is just too humongous!

Queens Park Rangers will press ahead with plans to slash their wage bill when the emergency loan window reopens.

The Loftus Road club, who remain without a Premier League win this season, spent heavily during the summer transfer window on fresh talent.

And owner Tony Fernandes will sanction a mini-clear out once the Football League loan window opens later this month, a task which will act as a prelude to a more extensive sale in January.

Among others, the likes of Luke Young, DJ Campbell and Rob Hulse will be made available, while goalkeeper Robert Green could also head out on loan after his future at the club was thrown into uncertainty thanks to the capture of Cesar from Inter Milan.

Well a clear-out was always likely following the level of spending QPR reached over the summer but perhaps it’s a little surprising that Robert Green would be heading for the Lotfus Road exit having only arrived at the club a few weeks ago.

The former West Ham man was brought in to take Paddy Kenny’s place between the sticks, little did he know that Mark Hughes had been hoping to lure Inter Milan star Julio Cesar to the West London club.

It would be a tad unfortunate for Green if he were loaned back to the Championship having helped West Ham to promotion to the top tier only to then leave the Hammers for QPR.

The trio of other unneeded players should have no problems finding temporary homes in the English second tier as all three are certainly up to scratch. Striker DJ Campbell will have guessed his time at QPR was up when Mark Hughes brought striker after striker to the club during his time in charge of the Super Hoops.

Experienced campaigners Rob Hulse and Luke Young should also be of use to most Championship level sides.
