Zenit Plot Move to Complete £30m Deal to Sign Man United Winger Nani

Russian big spenders want Old Trafford attacker.

Nani may still exit Man United as Zenit St Petersburg ready £30m transfer bid

Zenit St Petersburg are ready to make a last-ditch attempt to sign Manchester United winger Nani, who could still leave the club despite the transfer window closing.

The transfer looked dead last week but Zenit are ready to lodge a final £30million offer to try to get the deal done, with the Russian transfer window still having a few days left to run.

It is understood United have already resisted two offers in excess of £20m, but will consider settling for £30m, if the terms of payment are right.

Zenit have just completed the £64m signing of top notch pair Hulk and Axel Witsel but are still looking to improve their squad as they look to convert domestic success into European domination.

Would Sir Alex Ferguson be willing to lose Nani? Well if the transfer window in England was still open then you could argue that the Scot would consider the sale of the Portuguese international so that he could then use the funds to further boost his Old Trafford squad but that appear to be no compunction for the Man United boss to consider offers at this stage.

However that said, Nani has been forced out of the first team picture this season. The Man United winger started the club’s opening fixture against Everton but didn’t make it onto the field of play for the second fixture at home to Fulham but then came on for the final 30 minutes of the trip to Southampton helping his side to battle back from 2-1 down to win 3-2.

Nani has been locked in contract talks with Man United for some weeks now and appears to have fallen out of favour with Sir Alex Ferguson, especially since the arrival of Japanese international Shinji Kagawa.
