The Colombian striker also has ambitions of playing in England.
The father of Atletico Madrid ace Radamel Falcao has controversially stated on Spanish television that his son still dreams of playing for arch enemies Real Madrid.
Falcao put on a masterclass in this season’s UEFA Super Cup, scoring a hat-trick as his side dismantled Chelsea 4-1 in Monaco, and the player has indicated that he would relish a move to the Premier League if the Real move didn’t materialise, with long-term admirers Chelsea his favoured destination.
English Champions Manchester City have also been linked with the Colombian in the past and they are another club he would consider.
The news will not go down well with his current side Atletico and in an effort to appease them the player has stated his commitment to the club in the wake of his father’s comments, according to Sky Sports.
However, the ears of the top European sides, particularly Real, will have pricked up at the news that one of Europe’s hot properties is looking for a move come the end of the season and their will undoubtedly be enquiries made for the 26-year-old.
Falcao has scored 11 times for Colombia in 37 appearances.
