Italians still angry with the Bulgarian.
Italian Serie A side Fiorentina remain angry with Fulham new-boy Dimitar Berbatov for his failed move to the club and the Viola want back the money they lost from his agent.
In the final week of the transfer window Berbatov was flown to Florence with his agent, at the expense of the Viola, to finalise a transfer only to leave a Club representative at the airport as Italian Champions Juventus hijacked the move for him.
In the end the Bulgarian rejected the Old Lady as well and instead opted to remain in England and reunite with Martin Jol at Fulham – having played under the Dutchman at Tottenham.
The situation has left Fiorentina raging at the conduct and professionalism of the former Manchester United striker, and they issued a scathing letter aimed at both Berbatov and Juventus to highlight their frustration while claiming Berbatov was not worthy of wearing their famous purple shirt, reports Sky Sports.
Fiorentina’s Sporting Director Daniel Prade has now confirmed that they will pursue Berbatov’s agent for the money he cost them in flights and expenses.
Berbatov made his Fulham debut off the bench in their 3-0 defeat to West Ham.
