Juventus Unhappy as Arsenal Loan Striker Nicklas Bendtner Turns Up for Training Overweight

‘I smell bacon’.

Nicklas Bendtner has reportedly turned up for training at Juventus overweight after completing his loan move from Arsenal.

The Danish striker moved to the Italian champions on a season-long loan after Arsene Wenger decided he had no future in north London.

But according to reports in the Italian media Bendtner is not fit to play for his new club after arriving in Turin and has been put on a strict diet.

Let’s face it, it was always a little odd that Serie A title holders turned to a player Arsenal couldn’t wait to get rid of to help boost their attack and now that initial decision appears to have already backfired to some extent.

Nicklas Bendtner has clearly not spent a great deal of the pre-season training or indeed putting in a shift in friendlies to get up to speed, so now the Dane has to lose a bit of weight before he can force his way onto the Juventus bench.

The Arsenal striker had a relatively successful spell on loan at Sunderland but was still set to find himself warming the Gunners bench and Arsene Wenger would’ve liked to have offloaded the 24 year old on a permanent basis but may hope that a loan move to Juventus will conclude in the Italian side signing the giant forward on a permanent basis.

However he must shed some pounds first.
