United unlikely to land Dutchman.
Midfielder Wesley Sneijder says he wants to stay at Inter Milan at least until his contract expires in 2015.
Sneijder has been continuously linked with a move to Manchester United in recent seasons, while Real Madrid, Fenerbahce and United’s fierce rivals Man City have also been credited with an interest.
There has even been speculation that the Inter captain could return to Dutch club Ajax, where he started his career.
And, while the 28-year-old is open to the idea of returning home at some point, he remains committed to the Nerazzurri.
“I want to stay at Inter,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport. “I have never, never thought about leaving Inter. I like the team, the city, the club, and I also like the coach.”
Asked about the possibility of finishing his career at Ajax, the Netherlands international replied: “Never say never, but now it’s too soon to think about this.
“I have a deal with Inter until 2015 and I want, as a minimum, to remain until the end of the contract.”
Sneijder also insisted that he is happy playing under boss Andrea Stramaccioni, who replaced Claudio Ranieri in March, and praised the Italian’s man management.
“He understands players, like president (Massimo) Moratti,” said Sneijder.
“Stramaccioni talks a lot with me, about everything. This lets me feel his faith and this is good for each player.”
