Man United Linked With £2.4m Move to Sign Starlet Dubbed the ‘New Cristiano Ronaldo’

Old Trafford side one of many sides said to be interested in Spaniard.

Spanish source PerspectiveBetica claim that Man United are one of a string of sides interested in teenager Alvaro Vadillo, who has been dubbed the ‘New Cristiano Ronaldo’.

This source states that the Old Trafford side had been linked with an apparent €3m (£2.4m) offer for the Real Betis winger who though only 17 years of age has already represented the Spanish Under 20 national team.

Barcelona and AC Milan have also been monitoring the youngster’s development following his promotion from Real Betis B to the La Liga side’s first team set-up.

The speedy attacker has a bright future and Betis boss Pepe Mel could have a fight on his hands to keep the Spanish starlet.

Sir Alex Ferguson has taken a more youthful transfer policy approach in recent seasons, the move for Robin Van Persie being something of an anomaly for the Man United boss, and the Scot has seen the likes of Javier Hernandez, David de Gea, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones make instant impacts in the first team.

This summer he continued to plan for the future by bringing in youngsters Nick Powell and Angelo Henriquez.
