Liverpool Battle to Sign £4m Argentine Starlet

Anfield side target highly rated youngster.

Liverpool are battling with Juventus for Argentinian starlet Luciano Vietto.

Racing Club Avellaneda midfielder Vietto, 18, has attracted European scouts this season and Liverpool scouts have been watching the £4m-rated youngster.

Liverpool are very much geared towards planning for the future and the appointment of Brendan Rodgers as Kenny Dalglish’s successor very much confirms that intention and interest in top young talent to help strengthen the Anfield squad for the long term is very much the order of the day.

Former Swansea City boss Rodgers brought in Fabio Borini, Joe Allen and Samed Yesil over the summer and now appears to have his sights firmly set on up and coming Argentine teenager Luciano Vietto.

The 18 year old attacking midfielder has impressed many with the manner in which he has performed since breaking into Racing Club de Avellaneda’s first team, with the youngster netting three goals in six appearances.

Liverpool may have their work cut out trying to overhaul Juventus in their pursuit of Vietto given that the Serie A title holders have Champions League football to offer the youngster.
