Goodison Park side keen on former Man United man.
DAVID MOYES will once again scour the free agent market to bolster Everton’s midfield after Darron Gibson was ruled out for three weeks.
Influential anchor-man Gibson has been sidelined with a thigh injury suffered in the defeat at West Bromwich Albion a fortnight ago.
One such player, former Wolfsburg and Aston Villa midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger, 30, is under serious consideration, while former Manchester United and City player Owen Hargreaves, 31, could also be an option.

Desperate times call for desperate measures but does David Moyes really need to consider making a move for free agent Owen Hargreaves just because Darron Gibson has a bit of a knock?
Clearly Everton are known for their penchant for collecting former Man United players but any move to sign Hargreaves, even if he would cost the Merseyside club nothing, is doomed to be a disaster.
When fully fit Hargreaves may well still have a role to play in the top tier but the injury prone former England man but we are talking about a player who has made just two Premier League starts in the past four years.
A move for 30 year old Thomas Hitzlsperger could however be a clever one to consider. The former Aston Villa man has struggled with form and fitness and failed to make an impact at Wolfsburg last season but the former German international is a stylish midfielder who could be a useful back-up option to add to the Toffees squad.
