Dimitar Berbatov: Clearly a great signing for Fulham, but many thought his lack of match sharpness would prevent the Bulgarian making an immediate impact. How wrong they were. A brace and three bonus points to boot rewarded any savvy Fantasty Football pro who took a chance on the former United hitman.

Papiss Cisse: Key to a successful Fantasy Football season is making your transfers at the right time. Heralded for his phenominal impact last season, Cisse has been overshadowed both on and off the pitch by his strike partner and compatriot Demba Ba. This has seen Cisse’s value dip 0.2 million, despite many impressive displays. With Norwich at home, now could be the time to swoop for the adopted Geordie.

Gaston Ramirez: Perhaps the only highlight for Saints fans at the Emirates last week was the talented Uruguayan’s bright cameo in the second half. The Guru trecked to Bologna last year to see what the fuss was about concerning this attacking midfielder and left mightily impressed. Creative and with an eye for goal, Ramirez may well start against Norwich at home and could take apart a dodgy looking Canaries defence. Get him in!

Alex Kacaniklic: A less-known failing of Liverpool’s recent transfer policy is the young Swede. Kacaniklic was let go as a promising youngster in the deal which took an ageing and pedestrian Paul Koncesky to Anfield. Martin Jol has given Kacaniklic his chance in the first team this season and the left winger has not disappointed, playing a big role in Fulham’s impressive start – including two assists last week. Pacey, inventive and cheap, he could pick up some valuable points this season.

Steven Caulker: If you’re looking for a new defender, it’s worth considering Spurs stopper Steven Caulker. The Team GB and England under-21 star is yet to make a league appearance for Spurs this season but with Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Kyle Naughton out injured, the north Londoners are set for a defensive reshuffle that could see the 22-year-old get his chance. His (wrongly) disallowed goal against Lazio illustrates the danger he poses in the opposition box and with Spurs at home to QPR, who are struggling for goals, an extra point for a clean sheet could be on the cards.
