Time for an Anfield squad re-think, if you’re reading this Brendan, here’s a few tips.
Brendan Rodgers was left disappointed with the lack of transfer deadline day activity and was probably more than aware that the was not going to be offered the same level of lavish investment that Kenny Dalglish effectively wasted but the Anfield boss will hope that he will be handed significant funds in January.
Those funds may be all the more important if Liverpool haven’t started to get their season back on track by the time the transfer window re-opens.

The Spanish Under 21 international could well turn out to be the ‘Next Xabi Alonso’, he has that much potential.

Though Rodgers has a number of central midfielders the jury is still very much out on the likes of Jonjo Shelvey and Jordan Henderson. Steven Gerrard is clearly in the latter stages of his career and Joe Cole is practically finished at the club.
Joe Allen is certainly a player Liverpool can count on as being part of the club’s long term future and Isco could be an ideal central midfield partner for the Welsh international.
