Ligue 1 big spenders keen on St James’ Park forward.
PSG are said to be interested in Newcastle United forward Demba Ba and ready to make a move for the prolific forward when the January transfer window.
Alan Pardew has revealed that Senegal international Demba Ba’s £7m release clause is still very much active and PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti is looking to strengthen his attacking options as his Parc des Princes is currently over-relying on new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Swede has netted seven of PSG’s ten Ligue 1 goals this term and Ancelotti is keen on bringing in Demba Ba to add further firepower to his big spending side.
Demba Ba is said to be unhappy with his wide attacking role and would surely jump at the chance of a move to a move to his hometown club, the 27 year old having been born in the Paris suburbs, especially as PSG will be more than able meet the Newcastle United forward’s wage demands.
PSG will also be able to offer the former Hoffenheim and West Ham man a chance to compete in the Champions League, a goal he may not feel a possibility with Newcastle United.
Demba Ba netted 16 goals in his first season at St James’ Park and has scored three goals in his last two appearances for the Magpies.
