Parc des Princes big spenders want Etihad Stadium defender.
Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as the strong favourites to sign Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta, according to reports in France.
Zabaleta has been a first-team regular this season and his performances have not gone unnoticed.
The Argentine international has become one of the major targets for PSG when the transfer window re-opens in January.
French magazine France Football claims that PSG are prepared to make a £14.5million move for the experienced defender.
Given the huge size of Man City’s squad and the fact that Argentine international Pablo Zabaleta is by no means a first team regular, the chance to move to PSG may just tempt the 27 year old defender.
The former Espanyol man started just 18 Premier League matches last term but has thus far opened at the right side of defence on four out of five occasions this term. However Zabaleta now battles for his spot against both Micah Richards and new signing Maicon so there is no guarantee he will keep his first team spot.
It would however be a tad odd if Carlo Ancelotti would set his sights on the Man City man given that he has only just snapped up Dutch international right back Gregory van der Wiel last month.
Perhaps the former Chelsea boss is looking to use Zabaleta in his other, less prominent, role as a defensive midfielder.
