Craven Cottage side want Spanish midfielder.
Fulham boss Martin Jol is set to revive his interest in Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia when the January transfer window opens.
Jol is desperate to strengthen his midfield and was one of several Premier League managers to go for the 26-year-old in the summer, when Everton, Liverpool and Newcastle were also keen.
But Fulham were scared off by Atletico’s £7million asking price and were unable to agree a loan deal instead.
However, they will now try and see if they can ease their injury problems by making a move in January.

Though Fulham have started the current campaign well Martin Jol may well feel he could do with midfield additions to beef up his squad.
The Craven Cottage club did after all lose a fair few midfielders this summer with the likes of Danny Murphy, Dickson Etuhu and Moussa Dembele all making exits from the West London side and Raul Garcia may well be an intelligent addition to Jol’s Fulham squad.
The 26 year old spent last term on loan Osasuna, a move that appears to have rejuvenated the former Spanish Under 21 international, with the stylish forward thinking midfielder netting 11 goals helping the La Liga minnows to a very healthy seventh place finish.
However Diego Simeone appears to still see Garcia as a back-up option, handing him just one La Liga appearance thus far this term, therefore a move to the Premier League could well be an option.
