Allegations of a training ground altercation are set to be reported by the Daily Mail. See below.

If this is indeed accurate then Portuguese winger Nani may well see his Old Trafford career heading a likely end in January. The 25 year old had been repeatedly linked with a move away from Man United over the summer, with Zenit reportedly interested in the former Sporting Lisbon man and if he has indeed attacked a team-mate then Sir Alex Ferguson may look to sell the attacker as soon as possible.

Nani moved to Man United for £25m back in the summer of 2007 and took a while to come out of the shadow of national team compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo but in 2010/11 he was a pivotal performer in Ferguson’s Premier League title winning side but was then left out of the starting line-up for that season’s Champions League final against Barcelona.

The wide-man now has a great deal of competition for his spot with the likes of Luis Antonio, Danny Welbeck, Ashley Young and Shinji Kagawa all challenging for a spot in Man United’s first team set-up.

20 year old midfielder Davide Petrucci is yet to make an appearance for the Man United first team.
