PSG In Talks to Sign Real Madrid Attacker Cristiano Ronaldo

Ligue 1 big spenders want Bernabeu star.

Spanish source claims that Ligue 1 big spenders have been in contact with Cristiano Ronaldo’s representative Jorge Mendes about an ambitious move to bring in the Real Madrid attacker.

Though Carlo Ancelotti’s side have brought in some stellar names this summer any successful move to bring in the 27 year old former Man United man would be on a different plain. The Portuguese international is clearly one of the best players on the planet and any offer from PSG’s Qatari owners would have to reflect that in order to have any chance of landing the Real Madrid goal machine.

The Daily Mail today reports that talented attacker is unhappy about the fact that he only ranks number 10 in a list of the best paid players in the world, this is further exacerbated by the fact that the Spanish government amended tax laws that means that high earners like Ronaldo have to pay twice as much tax as they did previously.

PSG are clearly not only looking to conquer France but also appear to be making long term plans to clinch Champions League glory and to that end brought in big names like Thiago Silva, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Jeremy Menez and Lucas Moura over the summer. However a move for Cristiano Ronaldo may well require a fee in excess of £80m to stand any chance of persuading the Bernabeu side to sell.
