Can Anfield side capture Bernabeu star.
LIVERPOOL will attempt to sign midfielder Nuri Sahin on a permanent basis this summer.
The Turkish international has stunned Anfield bosses with his two most recent displays, after joining on loan from Real Madrid in the summer.
After scoring both goals in the Reds’ League Cup victory over West Brom, the 24-year-old again found the net to cap an impressive all-round display in Saturday’s 5-2 win over Norwich.
And boss Brendan Rodgers now views the former Borussia Dortmund star as such an integral member of his team that he wants Sahin to stay on Merseyside beyond the end of the season.
According to reports in Spain, there is no clause in Sahin’s £4m loan deal that allows Liverpool first-choice on a permanent deal.

Will Nuri Sahin sign a permanent deal with Liverpool?
The 24 year old has already proven what he is capable of in the early stage of his season long loan spell, enough to persuade Liverpool to already consider a permanent move for the Turkish international. It seems entirely plausible that Jose Mourinho would be open to allowing the former Borussia Dortmund man to move to Anfield, so long as a decent fee was offered.
A lot depends on how Liverpool fare this season. Brendan Rodgers side have struggled thus far but a big win away at Norwich City may well help to kick-start a season that has been characterized more by poor results than poor performances and there is certainly a sense that Liverpool deserve more points than the five they have accrued from six fixtures this term.
If Liverpool had somehow pushed onwards and secured a top four finish then the chances of persuading Sahin to stay would be fairly good but anything less than that and other prospective suitors may look to nab the stylish midfielder next summer.
