Liverpool Monitor Ligue 1 Hot-Shot Alain Traore

Anfield keen on Lorient striker.

Check-In to Liverpool v Udinese

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is reportedly running the rule over Lorient striker Alain Traore and has received glowing reports from scouts sent to monitor the Burkina Faso international.

The Anfield boss is looking to bring in attacking additions but has a fairly restrictive budget to work with and may well elect to put in an exploratory bid for the 24 year old when the transfer window re-opens.

The former Auxerre man has started well at Stade du Moustoir following his summer move from Auxerre, netting four goals in five Ligue 1 matches thus far this season.

Rodgers only has two senior strikers to call upon at present having loaned out Andy Carroll, a player who doesn’t appear to suit the new boss’s style of play, the former Swansea City manager has to rely on Uruguayan marksman Luis Suarez and unproven new boy Fabio Borini.

As Traore will be participating in the 2013 African Cup of Nations Rodgers will continue monitoring the Ligue 1 hot-shot with a view to a possible summer bid.
