Newcastle United linked with transfer bid for Manchester United’s Joshua King
Newcastle United are among several clubs interested in Manchester United youngster Joshua King, according to the striker’s agent.
King, who has had to overcome a spate of injuries, spent time on loan last season at Hull City and has also in his career made temporary moves to Borussia Monchengladbach and Preston North End.

20 year old Norwegian international Joshua King may well be considering his options and the likelihood of breaking into the Old Trafford first team given the raft of quality forwards ahead of him in the striking pecking order at Man United. A move to Newcastle United may well tempt the Oslo born starlet.
King arrived at Man United four years ago after he was spotted at Valerenga but has thus far played just nine minutes of first team football and that came over three years ago in a Carling Cup match against Wolves.
The likes of Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez are vying for first team spots and youngsters like Will Keane, Bebe and new recruit Angelo Henriquez are also probably ahead of King in the queue.
Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew will probably be looking to strengthen his attacking options as beyond Senegal international pair Papiss Cisse and Demba Ba, the Magpies probably lack quality and the St James’ Park boss appears to have received positive scouting assessments of the young forward.
