PLAYER OF LAST WEEK

Nuri Sahin: The Guru spoke, and Sahin delivered. A goal and two assists earned the Turk two bonus points and gave anyone who backed last week’s predictions an overall score of 15. Nice.

BUY LOW SELL HIGH

Michu: Always beware the early hot streak. As the Guru predicted, Swansea and Michu flew out of the blocks this season but have faded badly, losing four on the bounce. Has Michael Laudrup got what it takes to guide the Swans through the rigours of the Premier League? Michu’s early form has seen his price rise by a massive £0.8m. Now could be the time to cash in and spend the profit on safer bets.

GURU, THE BARGAIN HUNTER

Jussi Jaaskelainen: It’s fair to say many thought the big Finn’s top-flight career was over when a less than inspiring season from the stopper ended in Bolton’s relegation. However, Jaaskelainen has been revived by a move to West Ham, who have made a cracking start to the new season. Big Sam’s sides are always compact and hard to beat, recording their fair share of clean sheets. At £4.8million, Jussi could be your no.1.

Jonas Olsson: Key to wracking up points is having a backline that regularly picks up 6 points for clean sheets (and 90 mins). £5m Olsson plays week in, week out at the Hawthorns in a defence that looks water-tight at present under Steve Clark. Yet to concede at home, West Brom host struggling QPR this week. Hmmhyes.

Luis Suarez: The controversial number 7 loves playing against Stoke almost as much as Norwich. The Uruguayan scored against the Potters on his Liverpool debut when they visited Anfield in 2011, and has 4 in his last 4 games against Tony Pulis’ cloggers. His hatrick last weekend was followed up by a stunning free kick in the Europa League on Thursday night. Suarez is on form and could well rack up points during a relatively easy run of fixtures.
