Anfield side set sights on trio of quality young stars of the future.
German source TransferMarketWeb report that Liverpool are preparing a €10.5m (£8.4m) bid for 20 year old South Korean international Heung Min Son
The Hamburg attacker has started the current Bundesliga campaign with a bang, netting three goals in six matches thus far and the 20 year old has begun to attract the attention of a number of Europe’s ‘Elite’.
Heung-Min is into his third season in the Hamburg first team having moved to the Imtech Arena side back in 2008 and last term the adaptable forward, who can play out on the flank or in an orthodox striking role, became a regular in Thorsten Fink’s starting eleven.
Liverpool could well do with attacking reinforcements as currently the Merseyside outfit lacks firepower and Rodgers has just two recognised senior strikers in his squad, Luis Suarez and unproven Italian Fabio Borini. Heung-Min Son may be tempted by a move to the Premier League but his willingness to leave may depend on just how far Hamburg have come from last term’s woeful 15th placed finish.
Hamburg have lost three of their first six Bundesliga matches this season, this despite the return of Dutch playmaker Rafael Van der Vaart, and if there hasn’t been a significant improvement then the Chuncheon born youngster may well consider the possibility of a move to the Merseyside club.
