Old Trafford boss ready to snap up Anfield man.
MANCHESTER UNITED hope that offloading Javier Hernandez to Real Madrid will tempt the Spanish champions into letting go of some of their stars.
Sir Alex Ferguson has used Hernandez sparingly so far this season, following the summer arrival of Robin van Persie.
Fergie’s dream target would be midfielder Kaka, after he aborted a bid for the Brazilian in the summer.
And the temptation to wreck Liverpool’s hopes of tying up a permanent deal for on-loan star Nuri Sahin is becoming increasingly attractive, following the Turkish international’s recent impressive performances.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has only recently stated his fears that the Anfield side could struggly to keep Nuri Sahin at Anfield on a permanent basis and now it appears that Man United may well be ready to steal the Turkish international from under the Merseyside club’s noses.
The 24 year old German born playmaker has already impressed greatly during his season long loan spell at Liverpool, netting three times in the last two matches, and the temptation of a move to Man United may well force the Real Madrid man to consider alternative Premier League options if indeed Jose Mourinho elects to sell the former Borussia Dortmund man.
Given that Mourinho had little interest in using the services of the attack minded midfielder last term and the summer arrival of Luka Modric as well as the fact that Brazilian Kaka was not sold, one would imagine that Sahin is surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu so a permanent move away from the Spanish giants is very possible.
Man United currently rely a great deal on veteran Paul Scholes and do not really possess much in the way of a goal threat with the likes of Michael Carrick, Anderson and Darren Fletcher not being all that attack minded, whilst also not providing a great deal in the way of a link between midfield and attack, being more concerned with keeping hold of the ball.
Sahin is a player who will want to be playing in the Champions League and challenging for major honours and currently that doesn’t seem like an ambition that can be realised at Liverpool so a move to Man United seems plausible.
Liverpool will be loathed to miss out on the player but the club’s American owners may well also elect to not make an offer for the Real Madrid man on the grounds that such a bid would have to be a significant one and thus far they have been far less open to forking out huge sums for players Brendan Rodgers targets as they were during Kenny Dalglish’s reign.
Rodgers has however seen a number of younger players come to the fore, perhaps benefiting from the lack of investment in new signings, with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Suso and Andre Wisdom impressing greatly.
Brendan Rodgers has seen Sahin work well alongside Joe Allen and Steven Gerrard in a combative midfield formation that may well be altered to accommodate defensive midfielder Lucas Leiva when he returns from his thigh injury lay-off.
