Swansea are set to revive their interest in ADO Den Haag midfielder Jens Toornstra, according to talkSPORT.

The Swans, who have been tracking the Dutchman for over a year, came close to landing the 23-year-old in the summer before then-boss Brendan Rodgers moved to Liverpool.

Current manager Michael Laudrup chose to pursue other targets but is now considering bidding for Toornstra in January.

Toornstra is an academy product at Kyocera Stadion and has made over 80 Eredivisie appearances for the club, mainly featuring at central or left midfield.

Should he move to the Liberty Stadium the former Netherlands under-21 international would become the fifth Dutch member of Michael Laudrup’s squad, with Michel Vorm, Kemy Agustien, Dwight Tiendalli and Jonathan de Guzman already at the club.
