Norwich City Line Up Move for Stoke City Striker Cameron Jerome

Canaries target Potters forward.

Norwich boss Chris Hughton is ready to rescue Cameron Jerome from his Stoke misery.

Striker Jerome, 26, has started just seven league games for the Potters since a £4million move from Championship Birmingham in August 2011.

Having netted just five goals in seven Premier League matches Chris Hughton is right to consider beefing up his attacking options and a move to sign Potters forward Cameron Jerome would be a fairly financially prudent way of attempting to remedy the situation.

The 26 year old has struggled to make an impact at the Britannia Stadium and hasn’t made a Premier League start this term so could well be tempted by a new challenge. Hughton knows the former St Andrews’ man from his time in charge of Birmingham City and may be able to get the most out of the former England Under 21 international.

Tony Pulis may be more open to such a sale having brought in Michael Owen to help boost his Stoke City strike-force.

Currently Norwich City are perhaps over-reliant on veteran forward Grant Holt and could therefore do with the services of a player to help the Canaries find the back of the net.
