Mexican source Terra report that Arsenal winger Andrei Arshavin could be set for a move to the MLS.

The 31 year old Russian has flattered to deceive throughout his three and a half years at Arsenal and appears to be very much surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium.

The winger is out of contract in the summer so Arsene Wenger may well be happy to allow the former Zenit man to leave on a free transfer in order to remove the player’s large wage packed from the North London club’s balance sheet.

Andrei Arshavin has played just 13 minutes of Premier League football this term and has made a total of 137 appearances for Arsenal and netted 31 goals in the process.
