Sir Alex Ferguson Furious With Rio Ferdinand Over ‘Kick It Out’ T-Shirt Snub

Old Trafford centre-back to feel the Sir Alex’s wrath.

Check-In to Chelsea v Man United

The United boss had claimed on Friday that all of his squad would wear Kick It Out T-shirts and condemned Reading striker Jason Roberts over his decision to snub the campaign.

“I’m very disappointed, he has let us down,” Ferguson said.

“I said yesterday that the players would be wearing it in support of the Professional Footballers Association and that every
player should adhere to it. And he goes and lets us down.

“It is embarrassing for me. He will be dealt with, no doubt about that.”

Sir Alex Ferguson may also want to talk to the centre back about a very inept display that followed on from his decision to not wear at ‘Kick it Out’ T-Shirt, an act that was replicated by Jason Roberts prior to Reading’s game with Liverpool.

Rio Ferdinand was the only United player not to wear the top, which carried an anti-racism slogan as part of the organisation’s awareness week.

Ferdinand was reportedly protesting at the group’s perceived lack of action in combating racism in football.
