La Liga side continue to be linked with Stamford Bridge captain.
El Mundo Deportivo today report that Valencia captain David Albelda is unhappy with the apparent interest shown by his side for Chelsea veteran John Terry. His reservations about such a move are however not related to the fact that the England man is seemingly of dubious character or indeed because of the recent allegations of racist behaviour.
His qualms stem from the wage packed the Mestalla side would hand the Blues captain.
Albelda is not happy about the fact that such a move would entail Valencia handing over a €6m a year to Terry, a sum he points out is the same as four current players. Clearly any attempt to lure the former England man to the La Liga club would have to involve a hefty pay packet but perhaps the Spaniard is more uneasy about the fact that the Chelsea man would presumably take the captain’s armband away from him.
