CaughtOffside Premier League Team of the Week

We name our Premier League Team of the Week.

Check-in to Manchester United v Arsenal

football formations

David De Gea (Man United): The Spanish ‘keeper made a number of fine saves to keep Chelsea at bay, including a couple with his feet.

Rafael (Man United): Another display full of attacking pace and verge from the Brazilian youngster. G Nev eat your heart out!

Michael Turner (Norwich): A goal and a solid performance from the Norwich centre-half, as the Canaries restricted Villa to just one chance.

Per Mertesacker (Arsenal): The German is finally looking like a Premier League defender. Another classy display.

Leighton Baines (Everton): May have scored an own goal but was terrific again down Everton’s left-flank, causing Liverpool plenty of problems.

Antonio Valencia (Man United): The South American gave Ashley Cole the run around down Chelsea’s left-flank and his delivery was impeccable once again.

Jack Wilshere (Arsenal): Looked like he’d never been gone. What a talent this lad is.

Gareth Bale (Tottenham): Returned to his former club and demonstrated yet another string to his bow – heading. The Welshman really can do everything.

Dimitar Berbatov (Fulham): The Bulgarian was at the heart of everything the Cottagers did against Reading and capped off a fine performance with a well-deserved goal.

Robin Van Persie (Man United): Scored one and has a pretty decent claim on another. The Dutchman has well and truly picked up for United where he left off for Arsenal.

Luis Suarez (Liverpool): Love him or hate him, he’s a fabulous player who is currently Liverpool’s only certain source of goals.
