Old Trafford wide-man wants out.
Portuguese winger Nani is set to turn down the offer of a new contract at Manchester United, according to reports.
The 25-year-old has grown frustrated at Old Trafford after starting just five of 13 games this season and being forced to watch United’s 3-2 victory over Chelsea from the bench.
The winger cast doubt over his future last week following the club’s Champions League victory over Braga by insisting ‘God only knows what awaits me’ when asked whether he would stay at United.
Nani was at a loss to explain why he has been left out of the team.
“I am in perfect condition,” he added. “I am physically good and feeling confident. I am the same Nani as always.”

Indeed it does seem that Sir Alex Ferguson doesn’t see Nani in as crucial a role as he has filled in the past, the arrival of Shinji Kagawa and the resurgence of Danny Welbeck have seen to that, and if the Portuguese international wants to leave then one imagines the Scot will soon make that wish a reality.
Zenit were apparently keen on the Man United winger but apparently the Russian side were put off by the player’s wage demands, which is fairly surprising given just how much the club forked out for Axel Witsel and Hulk over the summer, one can only imagine just how much Nani demanded in terms of salary.
Nani says he is confused as to why he has been given the cold shoulder by Ferguson but a good nine months of average form and an apparent punch up with a reserve team player may have something to do with it.
