Etihad Stadium side keen on Stamford Bridge teenager.
Manchester City are plotting a move to poach Chelsea’s highly-rated teenager Connor Hunte.
City scouts have kept a close eye on the 16-year-old and are now ready to step up their interest in Hunte.

Roberto Mancini appears to have taken a different tack in terms of his squad building over the past few months. Over the summer the Italian’s spending was restrained, by Man City’s own extravagant standards anyway, bringing in youthful additions such as Jack Rodwell and Scott Sinclair and only mildly big-name signings such as Javi Garcia.
Perhaps part of this new cost effective plan is the procurement of talented youngsters from other members of Europe’s ‘Elite’.
Connor Hunte is considered one of the bright prospects of English football, the England Under 17 international and is a player Chelsea will not want to lose.
The attacking midfielder has been compared to Mesut Ozil and City would be required to pay the Blues a compensation fee should they put in a genuine offer for the teenager.
Hunte may feel that his chances of pushing through at Stamford Bridge will be hampered by the long list of talented youngsters now plying their trade in the Blues first team.
Chelsea spent £80m+ on Eden Hazard, Oscar, Victor Moses, Thorgan Hazard, Marko Marin and Cesar Azpilicueta, all of whom are 23 years of age or under, as the West London side adopt a far more youthful transfer policy that could well make life hard for those trying to break into the first team picture via the academy and youth team systems.
