QPR Ready Ambitious January Move to Sign Real Madrid Defender Ricardo Carvalho

Loftus Road side target Bernabeu veteran.

Check-In to QPR v Reading

QPR boss Mark Hughes will look to lure Real Madrid centre-back Ricardo Carvalho to Loftus Road when the transfer window re-opens in January.

The 34 year old former Chelsea man has been told by Bernabeu boss Jose Mourinho that his contract will not be renewed when it comes to completion next summer and as such may well be allowed to leave in January.

Hughes is desperate to shore up his leaky defence who may have held relatively firm against Chelsea and Arsenal this term has still shipped in 18 goals in nine Premier League matches and sit bottom of the table having failed to collect a win this season.

Carvalho may be open to a return to West London where he served Chelsea for six years and having already signed Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero in the summer Mark Hughes may feel he can tempt the experienced Portuguese international to make a move back to the Premier League.

Hughes is willing to offer the determined centre back an 18 month contract.
