Arsenal Plan Move to Sign Talented Young German International Midfielder

Arsenal are interested in German international Lars Bender according to CalcioMercato.

Arsene Wenger is said to be keen on continuing to shop in the Bundesliga having brought in the likes of Lukas Podolski, Per Mertesacker, Serge Gnabry and Thomas Eisfeld from Germany to North London.

The 23 year old midfielder has been in good form for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and has begun to attract a number of interested suitors. The former 1860 Munich player has enjoyed steady progress at the BayArena over the past three seasons and is now a regular in Joachim Low’s German national team set-up.

Lars Bender is a box to box midfielder who’s tireless running has been of great use to Sami Hyypiä’s side and it’s no surprise that a number of Europe’s ‘Elite’ would be taking an interest in the Bavarian born youngster.

Bender has made 103 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen and has helped the club to two top four finishes in the past three seasons. He has also collected ten national team caps since his debut for Die Mannschaft in 2011.
