Chelsea Plan Move to Boost Strike-Force With French International Bid

Stamford Bridge side want Marseille forward.

TransferMarketWeb claim that Chelsea have switched attention from Colombian goal machine Radamel Falcao to French international Loic Remy.

One would imagine any decision to change tack on the striker front would be based on the Atletico Madrid forward’s asking price or indeed the 26 year old’s inclination towards a possible move to Stamford Bridge. Indeed Falcao may wish to remain at the La Liga side and given their explosive start to the season one can see why he would make that decision.

Chelsea are over reliant on Fernando Torres for end product and whilst the Spaniard has shown decent form this term Roberto Di Matteo would certainly like to have more attacking options to call upon.

Current alternatives Romelu Lukaku and Daniel Sturridge do not appear to be players Di Matteo rates highly.

Belgian youngster Lukaku has been farmed out to West Brom and didn’t get much of a look-in last term whilst Daniel Sturridge has not been handed a single Premier League start this season.

The 25 year old former Nice forward had two strong seasons at the Stade Velodrome, netting 37 goals in 83 appearances but has struggled to retain a spot in the first team under new boss Elie Baup, forced out due to a strong run of form from Andre-Pierre Gignac.
