It’s odd that the Canaries would allow contract talks for such a crucial player get to this stage. Prolonged discussions have not resulted in the experienced midfielder getting a new deal and as such the Irish international may well be tempted to consider other options.
The 30 year old was instrumental in helping Norwich City to achieve promotion to the top tier back in 2010/11 where his goals and assist making from the midfield were a huge assistance to the East Anglia based side. This term he has made four Premier League starts as Chris Hughton has experimented with a number of possible options.
That said the Norwich City boss will surely be aware of the importance of the former Blackpool man to his squad and surely an offer will be made to keep the Dublin born midfielder at the club.
Hoolahan has made a total of 166 appearances since his move to the club back in the summer of 2008, netting 32 goals in the process.
