Celta Vigo want White Hart Lane bench-warmer.
Portuguese source Fichajes claim newly promoted La Liga side Celta Vigo are interested in signing out of favour Tottenham forward Emmanuel Adebayor.
The 28 year old is still awaiting his first Premier League start of the season, this despite the fact that he scored goals and provided assists with regularity during his season long loan spell last term.
One has to wonder if Andre Villas-Boas was part of the decision making process that led to the North London side making a permanent move for the Togo international as it seems the Portuguese boss has little or no interest in giving the former Arsenal man a chance to impress.
Whilst Jermain Defoe has started the season well there seems little reasoning behind the decision to purchase a player and then steadfastly refusing to play him.
That said, a move to Celta Vigo seems unlikely. The Galicia based side have not started all that well in their return to the top flight, with Paco Herrera’s side sitting just a point above the drop zone. Also one wonders if the club could afford to meet Adebayor’s apparently massive pay demands.
