Spurs tracking Porto starlet.
Tottenham’s pursuit of FC Porto winger Christian Atsu could be in doubt, the Portuguese club slapped a £12m price-tag on the winger, reports ghanasoccer.net.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is desperate to add some competition for Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon to the squad and has sent scouts to the Estadio de Dragao to monitor the 20-year-old Ghanaian.
It is understood that Atsu is one of Tottenham’s primary transfer targets for the upcoming transfer window and the North Londoners may also bid for his Porto teammate Joao Moutinho.
But in a recent interview with Portuguese source A Bola, Atsu has confirmed his desire to remain with the Portuguese team as they battle for another Primiera Liga title.
“We are in talks to renew the contract. Porto are a great club and I want to stay. These things are in the hands of my manager. I only think about playing, nothing more,” said the left-sided winger.
