Wenger wants Sterling at the Emirates Stadium.
Rising England star Raheem Sterling could be heading to Arsenal in a deal which would see Theo Walcott sign for Liverpool.
Walcott’s current deal expires at the end of the season and manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly prepared to cash in on the winger after seeing talks over a new contract hit the skids.
The Arsenal boss is a huge admirer of Sterling and is prepared to offload Walcott plus £8million in his bid to sign the Liverpool winger in January.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger hinted on Friday for the first time that contract-rebel Theo Walcott could leave Arsenal but stressed that he would be replaced with a ‘big’ player or a big prospect.
Could that player be Liverpool youngster Raheem Sterling?
The 17-year-old has made a huge impact an Anfield this season, cementing his place in the first team and being rewarded with his first England cap against Sweden on Wednesday.
Sterling is believed to be close to signing a new deal on Merseyside but there have been reports that the former QPR trainee is unhappy in the North and wants to move back to London.
Liverpool have expressed an interest in Walcott in the past but, with the England international free to speak to suitors in January, the Reds might be wiser to approach Walcott separately rather than as part of a swap deal involving Sterling.
