QPR Confirm Harry Redknapp as New Manager

Former Tottenham boss takes over at Loftus Road.

Queens Park Rangers have appointed Harry Redknapp as manager on a two-and-a-half year contract.

Redknapp told QPR’s website: “This was too good an opportunity to turn down.

“I’m delighted to be back in the managerial hot-seat at QPR. I can’t wait to get to work and get the results necessary to kick-start our season.”

Harry Redknapp takes over a QPR side in serious trouble and is apparently set to receive a big bonus if he helps steer the West London side away from the drop zone.

Mark Hughes brought in a surfeit of new players over the summer but has failed to get his new look side to gel and after failing to secure a win in the first dozen Premier League games of the season it was inevitable that the Welshman would get the axe sooner rather than later.

Redknapp starts his reign with a tough trip to Old Trafford.
