QPR Boss Harry Redknapp Open to David Beckham Move

Loftus Road boss keen on bringing England veteran back to the Premier League.

Harry Redknapp believes David Beckham could still play in the Premier League and has not ruled out trying to sign the former England captain for QPR.

Beckham, 37, is leaving Los Angeles Galaxy in December and has been linked with a move to the Hoops since Redknapp took over as manager on Saturday.

Redknapp told BBC Radio 5 live’s Sportsweek programme: “I’m sure he could still play in the Premier League.
“I’ve not discussed it with the chairman so we’d have to look at that.”

By stating that David Beckham is still able to cut it in the English top tier and expressing his interest in the LA Galaxy man, Harry Redknapp will hope to get the ball rolling on a tangible offer for the 37 year old, one that he will hope attracts the midfielder’s interest.

Redknapp may feel that the addition of the experienced figurehead could help steer QPR away from the drop zone and no doubt the newly appointed Super Hoops boss has a number of potential additions he’d like to make in January to help drag his side out of the mire.

Becks is sure to have no shortage of offers for his services now that he has signaled his intentions to leave his current club after the MLS Cup Final this coming weekend. Offers from China and Australia are expected but maybe one last hurrah in the Premier League will trump all over options that come his way.
