Arsenal Striker Linked With January Move to Fenerbahce

Gunners forward on his way to Turkey?

Italian source CalcioMercato claims that Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh could be Istanbul bound as Turkish giants take an interest in the Moroccan forward.

Arsene Wenger is sure to accept any nominal offer so as to remove the player’s reported £60k a week wages off the balance sheet after what has been a hugely disappointing spell at the North London club.

The 28 year old hasn’t played a single minute of Premier league football this season and after a promising start to his Gunners career, with ten goals in his first four months at the Emirates Stadium the former Bordeaux marksman then hit a run of woeful form and has looked out of his depth ever since.

It may well be in the best interests of all concerned that Chamakh moves on as he is some way down the Arsenal pecking order and only sees first team action in the Capital One Cup.

Marouane Chamakh has racked up 14 goals in 65 appearances since his move from Ligue 1 to Arsenal in the summer of 2010.
