Great Timing: Didier Drogba Spends £800k On Commemorative Rings for Chelsea Players to Mark Champions League Triumph

Timely reminder of the competition the Stamford Bridge side have just been dumped out of.

Didier Drogba tonight went to the extraordinary length of presenting his Chelsea team-mates from last season’s Champions League final victory with individual rings to commemorate the triumph – at what is thought to be a cost of around £800,000 to the player.

Clearly this is a great gesture from the former Blues star but would probably have gone down better if Chelsea hadn’t just crashed out of the Champions League at the group stage less than 48 hours earlier.

Also this rings do look more than a little tacky to say the least. Did Ross Turnbull get one?
