Premier League duo chases French midfielder.
Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in signing midfielder Remy Cabella from French champions Montpellier, reports the Sun.
The French 22 year-old is rated at £5million and has recently lined up a series of impressive performances for the Ligue 1 side, who crashed out of the Champions League group stages in their first ever participation earlier this week.
Club president Louis Nicollin has ruled out the rumors saying: “It will take a fortune for us to consider letting him leave.”
Cabella has been linked to Manchester United, with Sir Alex Ferguson still looking for a long term replacement for Paul Scholes, and Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger under increased pressure at the Emirates to bring the glory days back to the club. The Frenchman represents a cheaper alternative to other players who have been reported targets for these two clubs.
The French champions are struggling in this campaign, despite last season’s surprising win, and currently sit 13th in the Ligue 1 table. This, along with their failure to reach the next round of the Champions League has left some of the teams star players considering their future with the club.
