Anfield bit-part player set for Loftus Road switch?
Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole is set to be Queens Park Rangers’ first signing of the January transfer window if they can agree a deal with the Anfield club on his wages.
Cole, 31, has struggled to establish himself at Liverpool since returning from his loan spell at French club Lille and QPR
manager Harry Redknapp wants to take him on loan until the end of the season.

This is perhaps a tad surprising given that Joe Cole has recently upped his game to force his way back into the Liverpool first team set-up. Would the 31 year old now be looking to leave for a move back to London to rejoin his former West Ham boss Harry Redknapp at Loftus Road?
Though Cole has been restricted to cameo sub roles from the bench in the Premier League as well as a fairly regular slot in Europa League action, it does seem that the former Chelsea man was beginning to prove himself worthy of a meaningful role in Brendan Rodgers’ first team affairs, netting twice in his last four appearances.
However perhaps the chance of a regular starting eleven spot at QPR will tempt Cole into a move to the relegation strugglers.
Harry Redknapp will surely look to improve his squad in January as QPR still sit firmly entrenched in the relegation mire despite the new boss only tasting defeat once in his five matches in charge.
