Loftus Road side chase Upton Park enforcer.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp is ready to move for West Ham’s Momo Diame and exploit a £3.5m ‘escape clause’ in his deal, The People can exclusively reveal.
Redknapp is a big admirer of the Senegalese midfielder who has been a huge hit for Sam Allardyce’s side since joining from Wigan on a free last summer.
Diame can move from the Hammers if a club meets the trigger figure in his deal – and West Ham’s money men have yet to sort out a new contract with him.

Mohamed Diame has been in superb form since his summer move to West Ham and the release clause added to his Hammers contract will no doubt leave many prospective suitors considering January moves for the Senegal international and one can see why Harry Redknapp would consider a move for the tough tackling midfielder.
However one would have to wonder if the former Wigan Athletic man would be up for the task of moving from his East London side to a club embroiled in a relegation battle.
Though QPR’s form has picked up since Redknapp’s arrival the Loftus Road side have still collected just one win all season and as such face an uphill task to stay up.
The experienced midfielder may however be enticed by sides who are better off than the West London side, not least because given the low fee needed to snap up the West Ham man Diame could therefore seek a big pay rise off the back off some solid displays this season.
