Emirates Stadium side said to have completed deal to sign the young England international.
Now there seems little reason why Wilfried Zaha’s former Crystal Palace team-mate Tom Soares would make up a story about the England international and it is entirely possible that the former Eagles midfielder could be privy to information that has as yet not been released to the press.
Zaha would indeed be a very Arsene Wenger-style signing and the Gunners boss has of course brought in the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Carl Jenkinson from the English ‘lower leagues’.
The Selhurst Park winger has been hotly tipped to leave his Championship and the England call-up he received earlier this year would perhaps spark a move for the 20 year old in the January transfer window.
Perhaps any potential deal would see Zaha remain at Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season as the South London side look to secure a move to the Premier League, a deal that boss Ian Holloway may be open to.
Zaha has already racked up over 100 appearances for Crystal Palace and appears ready to make the step up and perhaps the realization that Theo Walcott can indeed fill a striking spot would leave Wenger open to a new wide attacker signing in January.
