Emirates Stadium side take keen interest in quality duo.
ARSENAL are keeping a close eye on Newcastle’s Yohan Cabaye and his battle for fitness.
The Gunners were put off making an offer for Cabaye after the Toon’s £20million valuation of the France international midfielder, 26, last summer.
But boss Arsene Wenger remains an admirer of his compatriot and reckons he would add much-needed bite, as well as creativity, to the Arsenal midfield.

One can very well see why Arsene Wenger would be an admirer of Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye. The former Lille man has been linked with interest from the North London side before but is there really any need for another central midfield option in an Arsenal squad that has a fair few players plying their trade in a similar role.
When everyone is fully fit, and agreed that is rare, Wenger can call upon Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey, Tomas Rosicky, Abou Diaby and even Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (the youngster having being used in a more central role on occasion).
Cabaye had an excellent first season in the Premier League, being pivotal in Newcastle United’s push for a Champions League berth. This term has been blighted by injury and average form and as such it seems unlikely any side would fork out £20m for the French international at present and it’s not a fee that Arsene Wenger is likely to splash out on the 26 year old.
