Emirates Stadium side find buyers for two players Arsene Wenger can certainly afford to offload.
Italian source Tutto Mercato claim that Lille are the latest in a long line of clubs interested in Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh.
The Ligue 1 side join West Ham and Fenerbahce who are also said to be keen on the misfiring 28 year old. Arsene Wenger can certainly afford to consider offers for the former Bordeaux forward who has been a huge disappointment since his free transfer move to the Emirates two and a half years ago.
Chamakh hasn’t played a single minute of Premier League football this season and as such would appear to be very much surplus to requirements. One would imagine it wouldn’t take a huge fee to persuade the Gunners boss to sell the Moroccan especially if it means seeing his reported £60k a week wages wiped off the balance sheet.
TuttoMercato also report that Bundesliga side Hannover are very keen to sign Arsenal bit-part player Johan Djourou.
The determined defender has struggled to retain a spot in Arsene Wenger’s first team set-up throughout his eight years at the North London club and it may well be time for the Swiss international to move on or risk stagnating in the Arsenal reserves.
Much like Chamakh the 25 year old centre-back hasn’t seen any Premier League action thus far this season.
